Insider Journeys (formerly Travel Indochina) have been operating small group journeys (a maximum of 16 travellers per departure) and tailor-made holiday to Asia since 1993. Starting in Vietnam the company have grown to cover 11 destinations in Asia. Across all their journey types they maintain a focus on cultural exchange and responsible local experiences.
As well as offices in the UK, Australia and the United States, Insider Journeys also has 7 operations offices throughout Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos meaning they are able to control the content of their itineraries and the actions of their suppliers. It also means they can employ local office staff wherever possible.
Although working with Cleaner Climate, the focus of Insider Journey’s responsible travel fund and on-the-ground-actions are on social enterprise and grass-roots NGOs. Examples include Streets International training restaurant in the old port town of Hoi An in Vietnam; a deaf and blind workshop in Hue run by the Spiral Foundation and a number of other socially minded organisations including the Angkor Hospital for Children in Cambodia and Purkal Youth Society in India.
