Tiger Tops

Since day one, Tiger Tops has been synonymous with conservation. Over the past 50 years our core ethos of responsible tourism has stood us in good stead. We are a family-run business and many of our staff have been with us all their working lives. We promote conservation awareness on all our properties and aim to have the least possible impact on the surrounding environment. We want to ensure our legacy is sustainable and thus we engage readily with local communities by providing jobs, skills training, and education and health facilities.

We consider ourselves to offer a luxury adventure experience. Not luxury in the ‘gold taps’ sense of the word; rather our aim is to transport our guests to remote and beautiful parts of this extraordinary country and allow them to experience the environment at its most natural. We believe in good food and comfortable rooms, but above all we believe in great staff – its them who will bring the experience alive for you: crafting memories, creating experiences – that’s what we’re all about. Come and see for yourself.

Empowering local communities through health and social development projects is another important way that Tiger Tops strives to give back to society. Hygiene camps, eye check ups and local clinics provide much needed basic health services in villages. Projects include Workshops on Social Issues, Hygiene Campaigns & Eye Check-ups.

Income generation programs provide marginalized women the opportunity to learn agricultural, handicraft and sewing skills. Projects include the Porters’ Protection Scheme and the Income Generation and Support Scheme.

Since its establishment in 1964, Tiger Tops has demonstrated a commitment to sustainable travel and responsible tourism. In addition to supporting a wide range of local programs, Tiger Tops has created its own community and wildlife projects throughout Nepal. These focus on conservation, education, health and welfare, and address the environmental and human needs that exist where Tiger Tops lodges, camps and trekking routes are located.

Various projects include:

  • Bardia Green Project
  • Tiger Tops Long Term Tiger Monitoring Project
  • Tiger Tops Anti-Poaching Network
