Pod Volunteer’s Responsible and Ethical approach to volunteering
Pod Volunteer are proud of their responsible and ethical approach to volunteering and have developed long term relationships with a selection of hand-picked projects that only offer sustainable volunteering placements. Since Pod Volunteer is a not-for-profit organisation they focus on maximising the lasting positive impacts on the local placements and community through their established partnerships and volunteer management.
For each volunteer placement Pod Volunteer clearly identifies why volunteers are needed and how they can help to make a difference to the ongoing work of the project so that the volunteer placement is worthwhile, whilst ensuring that they provide volunteers to support local staff, not to replace them. The Pod Charity allows additional financial assistance to overseas communities by supporting sustainable local initiatives improving the lives of people and animals and helping conserve the environment.
Pod Volunteer helps to match volunteers to the most appropriate project by providing them with honest, clear and in-depth information before volunteers commit to a project and they undertake background checks on our community volunteers. By providing all volunteers with their responsible travel policy they actively encourage our volunteers to minimise their environmental, social and economic impacts while volunteering overseas.
