Paraba frente roja cabins
The community-owned cabin sits by banks of the River Mizque, across the water from a towering red stone cliff. The cliff face is the favourite spot of the rare red-fronted macaw, or paraba frente roja. The project was established to support the local communities’ efforts to protect the birds’ natural habitat. Justly famous among bird-watchers, the Cabins has local guides for with detailed knowledge about the birds’ feeding habits and favourite spots.
