Rooftop Retreat  – an ideal base from which to explore Mysore city, and a sanctuary at the end of a day’s sightseeing.

Coconut View – run by daughter Divya, is a self-catering apartment located in a peaceful suburb near the city’s ashrams and university, suitable for long term visitors.

Coconut Castle – run by cousin Jisha, is a traditional style bungalow in the foothills of the Western ghats surrounded by banana, coconut and mango trees. It makes a perfect stopover for adventurous travellers, travelling between Mysore or Goa to Kerala

Information for Travellers:

Rooftop Retreat, Gayathripuram, Mysore, is 3 km’s from the city center. This apartment above the family home has one air-conditioned ensuite bedroom, a fan-cooled dining room with refrigerator and breakfast bar, and a sitting room with small library, board games, and TV, whence guests can watch everyday life unfold in the street below. Wifi is enabled. Kamla and daughter Nivya serve Indian/Western breakfasts and tasty dinners on request, indoors or on the private roof terrace.
PRICE: £23 single, £28 double, including breakfast.

Coconut View, Vijayanagar, Mysore, is a 20 minute taxi/ bus ride from the city centre. This fan-cooled self catering apartment has one single and one double ensuite bedroom. Its open plan living space has a well equipped kitchen with dining area, and sitting room opening onto a small balcony overlooking the street. The flat has satellite TV and a wifi internet connection, and cycles are provided. Divya and Srinath, who live downstairs with their young children, are on hand to help with local information or transport.
PRICE: £85-£110 per week/ £320- £415 per month including bedding, towels and cycle hire.

Coconut Castle, Kerala lies 15 kms from the fishing port of Tellicherry, close to the road which crosses the western ghats to Mysore. The fan-cooled bungalow has a double/ twin bedded room, a private bathroom and toilet, and a spacious common sitting/dining room. Tea/coffee making facilities, books, games, binoculars, and wifi are supplied. The garden is designed to attract birds, which can be viewed from the verandah. Continental-style or Keralan breakfasts, and delicious meals and snacks, are delivered by Jisha from her neighbouring cottage.
PRICE: £15 per head per night including full board and pick up/drop.

We pay for running of hostel in Delhi with 30 girls from poor families. Donate to 2 children’s hostel in Itarsi MP. We pay school fees for children in poor communities.We have given loans to 3 families in order that they can build an extra story on their houses to rent to foreign tourists. we would like publicity to enable them to attract visitors. We also regularly visit and offer advice to families we support, and we also arrange holidays for many children from the hostels.

We maximise the contribution of tourism to the economic prosperity of the local area, including the proportion of visitor spending that is retained locally. Host families provide meals for the visitors.

We minimize the use of scarce or non-renewable resources in the development of tourism facilities and to minimise pollution: air,  water, land caused by the generation of waste by tourism enterprises and visitors. We offer advice to visitors on using local transport for their travel.
