WET educational resources: Watch this space!
In early 2012, Tourism Concern will launch new online Geography teaching resources for Key Stage 3 and 4.
The five teaching units will focus on the world’s most vital natural resource, water, and how it is affected by one of the world’s largest and fastest growing industries - tourism.
Downloadable free from our website, unique case studies will draw on our Water Equity in Tourism programme (WET) research to provide teachers with up to date and relevant images, data and stories.
Each unit will contain lesson plans based on active learning. This will include opportunities for investigation, media creation and role play.
The materials will relate to key themes in the current KS3 programme of study.
Accompanying case study resources can also be used to freshen up teaching courses from upper secondary to college and university level.
Case study locations will include Kerala and Tamil Nadu, South India, Bali and Zanzibar.
