Tourism Concern has a unique library with an unrivalled range of articles, reports, documents and books from all around the world.
We have all the latest books on ‘sustainable tourism’ and tourism impacts. A large section of the library is made up of boxes of reports, articles and documents. These boxes contain much of the information that Tourism Concern has collated in the course of 20 years of research and campaigning on the impacts of tourism on local communities.
This is an important resource for anyone wanting to understand the critical issues in tourism today.
Opening times:

Library search:
If you are unable to visit our library we can run a library search, with up to 15 pages of photocopied material on your subject.
When you make use of this service send a cheque made payable to Tourism Concern and tell us exactly what it is you're looking for. If you choose to become a member as well (£15 per year for full-time students), please complete a membership form and enclose separate cheques. For a speedy return enclose a first class stamp.
Charges for library search:
- Members - £6
- Non-members - £10
Important!
A search takes at least two weeks from receipt of your cheque. We do not offer any guarantee that a search will be completed in time. In the event that a search will not be completed we will contact you and return your cheque.
It is difficult to say in advance if we have much material on your subject. In some areas we have so many files, reports and lengthy articles that 15 pages scratches the surface. However, if we do not have enough material then we will simply return your cheque.
