Nominations now open for Responsible Tourism Awards 2009

Have you been particularly impressed by a community-based, or ‘responsible’ tourism initiative in the last 12 months which you think deserves recognition? Perhaps you’ve visited one of the many locally run tourism enterprises listed in Tourism Concern’s Ethical Travel Guide?

Nominations are now open for this year’s Responsible Tourism Awards, with Tourism Concern’s Tricia Barnett included on the panel of judges. Categories include ‘Best small hotel / accommodation’, ‘Best for conservation of wildlife and habitats’, and ‘Best for poverty reduction’.
